Bay View Inn

This house was originally the home of Wallace and Barbara Pruitt, the maternal grandparents of the current owners of Tangier Island Cruises. Now a bed and breakfast with 10 cottages on the west side of the island and a view of the Chesapeake Bay from the back deck, you can relax and wile away hours watching a beautiful  sunset and before breakfast, a glorious sunrise. This B&B consists of two houses directly across from each other, centrally located on the island to nearby shops, and not far from the island beach. For their overnight guests, breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Chesapeake House is included in the accommodation rate, as well as transportation to and from either the island boat dock or the airport. Sunset Inn Bed & Breakfast

This B&B is also located on the west side of the island with hotel like accommodations. There are 10 cottages with a deck from which you can view the beautiful sunsets and sunrises on the Chesapeake Bay.  A continental breakfast of waffles, pancakes, cereal, bagels with cream cheese, toast, juice, and coffee is included in the rate and is served either in the dining room or on the deck to view the Bay.  For reservations call 757-891-2535.
